Adrian Morning Rotary Receives Grant from Zonta Club of Lenawee

Adrian Morning Rotary purchased new books aimed at inspiring and empowering girls

Adrian Morning Rotary received a grant from the Zonta Club of Lenawee to purchase new books for the club’s Little Free Libraries. Members of Adrian Morning Rotary help stock the libraries which are located throughout the community - see the list of locations.

The grant was used to purchase books, through Lenawee District Library, that inspire and empower girls. Zonta Club of Lenawee provides grants to local organizations for projects that support women and girls in Lenawee County.

“There is power in the written word. Reading of women who have faced and overcome challenges, women who have succeeded where, perhaps, no women have succeeded before is empowering,” said Idalí Feliciano, president-elect of Adrian Morning Rotary. “Having access to such stories can make a significant impact on their lives and on their dreams for the future.”
